A global Swedish telecommunications company needed assistance in leading a large SAP HANA migration project and entrusted CoreChange with the task. The two-year project involved delivering a full migration from systems on Oracle database to SAP HANA In-Memory database for 12 major SAP installations at the client's end. The HANA project encompassed all aspects of a migration project, from proof of concept to actual migration during an intensive weekend when the project had 48 hours to ensure everything was in place.
Assignment
CoreChange's contribution to the project was to lead the work as a project manager, driving it forward according to agreed-upon toll-gates, maintaining good communication with relevant stakeholders from both the IT and business sides, and monitoring and following up with the external vendor. The project was successful, and the client has from now on a fast database platform that provides them with fantastic future opportunities.
